Salamualaikum and thank you so much for stopping by to visit. Mashalah, this is all so exciting for me! I am very happy that I have an opportunity to share invaluable advice and encouragement to parents all around the world. If someone would have told me a year ago that I would become an author and a blogger I would not have believed them. Amazingly, I have been able to accomplish both by the mercy of Allah!
So let me introduce myself: I am a wife/teacher/mom of 7 wonderful children, alhumdulilah, 3 girls and 4 boys, age 8 months to 15 years old (yes I do have my hands full!). I love being a mom, mashalah. There is no other job in the world I would rather have. I have been officially homeschooling for the last 10 years and it has been quite a journey, sometimes easy and sometimes difficult. Through writing my book “The Muslim Family Guide to Successful Homeschooling” I have discovered many different methods of homeschooling, which have enriched my teaching style greatly, alhumdulilah. Mainly I am now of the mindset that the world is our classroom and I am always looking for those “teachable moments”, opportunities to drop a few pearls on my eager kiddos. Also, making sure that they are having lots of fun. Learning does not have to be a grueling task that everyone dreads day after day. This is not a good learning environment and it certainly is no fun for the teacher or the student. So my journey has taken a turn for the better all praises due to Allah and inshlalah I plan to share as much of it as I can with you:-)
